I liked it in the 80's but they lost me after that.

As I once tried to explain to a drunk young lady, it’s about the generation you grew up in and The Not Ready for Primetime Players™ of your generation. I haven’t watched on a regular basis since the late 90's, but I catch an episode here and there. Now with the internet, I can catch a skit or digital short here or there and still feel connected — to a certain extent. So what I’m getting at is I will always have great respect for whoever is on that stage regardless if I connect with them or not. If I don’t, then I know a younger viewer will. And the show will go on hopefully even after my death.

I started watching with the Hartman and Carvey cast. Didn’t know how they would do the show when they left. It’s had ups and downs but it does keep going. I don’t think you’re really an adult until they announce the host or musical guest and you don’t have a clue who they are.
